GeometricPLM has released an update (SP1) to CAMWorks 2018. This release delivers many enhancements and improvements, most created in direct response to customer requests and focuses on helping you program the parts in faster and easier way.
Resolved CPR’s CAMWorks 2018 SP1:
CW-77641 When “Generate Setup sheet” command is executed on mill part setup and CWViewTemplate is selected as the style sheet in the setup sheet options dialog box, then Images are not generated.
CW-77486 When sample head and table machine is selected in CAMWorks Virtual Machine then, the values for B angle are incorrectly output using standard APT post.
CW-77313 The display of the User Defined Turn insert is incorrect in German language.
CW-77285, CW-77227 In regional settings if the separator is replaced with a comma then, while importing data from older TechDB into latest TechDB app, the digits after the separator are not imported.
CW-77194 In SQLite database, the option to “Add another record for hole mapping” is missing at the bottom of threaded hole feature map table. It is available in CAMWorks 2017 and CAMWorks 2018 access based TechDB.
CW-77193 License The License Manager service doesn’t start on windows server 2012, 2012R2 and 2016 operating system.
CW-77172 In Japanese language version of CAMWorks, when the cutting parameters of a tap tool are edited in TechDB, an error message is displayed.
CW-77141 In Japanese language version of CAMWorks 2018 SP0, when help button is clicked on the mill holder library of TechDB then, the corresponding help page is not displayed.
CW-77074 For the specific Turn part, the toolpaths generated for the Face Finish and Turn Finish operations are incorrect.
CW-76929 CAMWorks doesn’t get started if the TechDB is linked to a database file placed on network using the UNC naming convention.
CW-76923 In the Japanese language version of CAMWorks, the check box for number of cuts is missing in the constant stepover tab of operation parameter dialog box.
CW-76790 Add an example (preferably post data commands) illustrating how the Text field parameter for a Sub Spindle operation can be used.
CW-76667 Post The post variable "OPR_Z_ROTARY_RETRACT_PLANE" is set to a unknown number.
CW-76657 The Post variable “Distance” is calculated with respect to the wrapped diameter which is incorrect. It should be calculated with respect to the toolpath depth.
CW-76339 The material group is missing from Mill and EDM module in Stock manager dialog box.
CW-76337 The home position for turn operations on sub spindle is incorrectly output in the posted G code.
CW-76223 For the specific part, the hole thread parameters for the hole feature having Thread strategies are being incorrectly populated.
CW-76193 Add the sub spindle presets in Turn and Mill-Turn tutorial posts.
CW-76077 The option of “Sharp corner” in Turn operations doesn’t make any impact on the tool paths when User Defined Turn tools are used.
CW-76062 For the specific part, the tool path generated for Turn finish operation with user defined tool is incorrect.
CW-75946 The help for origin on the Mill part setup node needs to be modified to inform the user that when, fixture co-ordinate system is set on the machine node then, the default selection for the origin will be set to Fixture Co-ordinate System.
CW-75939 For the specific Mill Part, the rough mill toolpath generated with pattern type set to Volumill gouges the feature as the feature has tapered walls along with fillets.
