Mystic Dreampads volume 3 for Reason 3.04 and higher
New Sounds
Mystic Dreampads volume 3 takes of exactly there where the former two MDP versions
stopped. It sounds and feels differently but we have managed to keep the same high
quality standards. Again you will hear the same flexibility thanks to Reason's
Subtractor and MalstrĂm.
More Samples
But still...... This time we used more samples coming from patches we build in the
Kurzweil K2500, Novation Nova and Korg's good old Wavestation. We made sure that
these sampler patches do sound as unstatic as possible by using long loops and
through dynamic manipulation of the BV512 vocoder's formant shifting functions.
Combining these samples with Reason's synthesizers did the trick for MDP3!
Inspired by Nature, Debussy and keane
Mystic Dreampads 3 is inspired by all good and bad moods Nature can evoke. It's also
deeply inspired by the typically deep and warm sound atmosphere pallet of French
composer Claude Debussy. Some patches are created as a result of listening to the
great distorted textures one can find on "Under the Iron Sea" which is the second
album by the British rockband Keane. With pollution and climate changes in the back
of our heads these distorted pads will do great while scoring Discovery Channel
type documentaries.
What's in there?
There are 10 subfolders carrying the following names: Dark, Distorted, FX like,
Rhythmic (ReQuencers included), Sawy, Strings, Thin, Voice Oriented, Less Definable
and Melodic. MDP3 contains 101 combinator patches.
